Adoro, Vivir Así Es Morir De Amor, Frente A Frente, Amor Eterno, Te
Vivir Así Es Morir De Amor acompaña a
años después, vuelve a ella desde un lugar completamente diferente;

David Bisbal releases "ETERNOS", his new album which consists of ten
songs that have become part of the
collective memory of several generations, now brought into the artist's
own interpretive world.
Adoro, Vivir Así Es Morir De Amor, Frente A Frente, Amor Eterno, Te
Quiero, Te Quiero, Abrázame Muy
Fuerte, Qué Sabe Nadie, El Amar Y El Querer, Quijote y Aquellas Pequeñas
Cosas make up a repertoire
closely associated with some of the most iconic names in
Spanish-language music.
But "ETERNOS" is not made up as a simple collection of covers, nor as a
nostalgic look back at the past.
Instead, the album creates a dialogue between generations with songs
that audiences know by heart return
through the voice, personality and elegance of Spain's quintessential
crooner.
And in many cases, that dialogue is also deeply personal. Some of the
songs on "ETERNOS" have been
part of David Bisbal's story almost from the very beginning. Vivir Así
Es Morir De Amor has been with David
since his audition for Operación Triunfo, while Armando Manzanero's
Adoro was one of the first songs he
performed for millions of viewers during his time on the show.
Twenty-five years later, he returns to it from an
entirely different place. Other songs reflect the encounters that came
later. Qué Sabe Nadie directly connects
Bisbal with Raphael: the two performed it together on television in
2019. And his bond with Juan Gabriel
runs through the project in a particularly moving way. Bisbal recalled
meeting the Mexican artist in 2002,
when his own career was only just beginning, and how that first
encounter ended with Juan Gabriel joining
his family for dinner. Years later, they would record together and share
the stage at Mexico City's Auditorio
Nacional. On "ETERNOS", that relationship resurfaces through songs such
as Amor eterno and Abrázame
muy fuerte: no longer solely from the perspective of admiration for a
legend, but through the memory of
someone he had the opportunity to know, listen to and work with.
In this way, each song takes on a new perspective. The aim is not to
reproduce performances that are already
part of musical history, but to ask what these songs mean today in David
Bisbal's voice. What has changed
in the way he sings, listens to a lyric or understands a melody after
more than two decades of his career; and
what remains unchanged from that young singer who first began
discovering some of these songs in front of
an audience.
Produced and arranged by Cheche Alara, "ETERNOS" preserves the essence
of each song while bringing it
into a contemporary, elegant, and organic sound. The album was recorded
entirely using analog techniques,
with top-tier musicians, including the legendary Vinnie Colaiuta,
Carlitos del Puerto, Jr., Michael Thompson,
and Luis Conte, among others. The majority of the album was recorded
live at Henson Recording Studios in
Los Angeles, with drums, guitar, bass, percussion, and Alara on piano.
The strings and brass were recorded
later in Budapest, during sessions that Bisbal followed remotely from
Madrid. The performances,
arrangements, and interaction between the musicians are a fundamental
part of the project's sound.
The result is an album that connects past and present, reaffirming the
power of great songs to transcend eras,
styles and generations. Melodies and lyrics that have been part of
millions of lives now find a new
interpretation in a voice that has also accompanied audiences for the
past 25 years.
In that sense, "ETERNOS" is both a tribute and a declaration of love to
Spanish-language song: to its
performers, its songwriters and, above all, to those songs that, over
time, cease to belong only to the artists
who first recorded them and become part of everyone's shared heritage.
