El artista global y ganador de múltiples Latin GRAMMY® Luis Fonsi
presenta hoy "Me Despido", su nuevo sencillo y video, disponibles en
todas las plataformas digitales de música. La canción, un nuevo adelanto
de su próximo álbum de estudio, da continuidad al éxito alcanzado por
"Cambiaré".
Con el inconfundible ritmo de la bachata como protagonista, "Me Despido"
cuenta la historia de una pareja que, a pesar del amor que los une,
entiende que las circunstancias de la vida les impiden permanecer
juntos. Antes de decir adiós, ambos deciden regalarse un último momento,
convirtiendo la despedida en un encuentro lleno de emoción, pasión y
nostalgia.
Compuesta por Luis Fonsi junto a Andrés Torres y Mauricio Rengifo,
quienes también estuvieron a cargo de la producción, la canción combina
una melodía contagiosa con una historia cargada de sentimiento,
elementos característicos de la música de Fonsi cuya capacidad para
conectar con el público a través de letras universales ha sido una
constante a lo largo de su carrera.
"Lo que más me gusta de la bachata es que es un género que suena al
Caribe, que nos pone a bailar en pareja, pero también nos da la
oportunidad de romantizar a la hora de escribir e interpretar una
historia. He grabado varias bachatas en mi carrera, como "Llegaste Tú"
junto a Juan Luis Guerra, "Bésame" con Myke Towers, "La Romana", que
forma parte de mi álbum "El Viaje", y ahora "Me Despido", una canción
que me tiene muy emocionado", expresó Fonsi.
Tras el arrollador éxito de "Cambiaré", que alcanzó el primer lugar de
la radio en múltiples países, "Me Despido" ofrece otra faceta del
próximo álbum de Luis Fonsi y vuelve a poner de manifiesto su facilidad
para transitar distintos géneros musicales mientras mantiene intacta la
sensibilidad interpretativa que ha acompañado su carrera durante más de
dos décadas.
El videoclip oficial de "Me Despido", disponible desde hoy, fue dirigido
por el reconocido Carlos Pérez, Director creative de Elastic People, y
acompaña visualmente la intensidad de la historia y complementa la

Global artist and multiple Latin GRAMMY® winner Luis Fonsi releases "Me
Despido," his new single and music video, available today across all
digital music platforms. The song, the latest preview of his forthcoming
studio album, follows the success of "Cambiaré".
With the unmistakable rhythm of bachata at its core, "Me Despido" tells
the story of a couple who, despite the love they share, come to
understand that life's circumstances prevent them from staying together.
Before saying goodbye, they decide to give themselves one final moment
together, turning their farewell into an encounter filled with emotion,
passion, and nostalgia.
Written by Luis Fonsi alongside Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo, who
also handled production, the song combines an infectious melody with an
emotionally charged story, hallmarks of Fonsi's music and of his ability
to connect with audiences through universal lyrics, a constant
throughout his career.
"What I love most about bachata is that it's a genre that sounds like
the Caribbean, that gets us dancing as a couple, but also gives us the
opportunity to bring romance into the way we write and interpret a
story. I've recorded several bachatas throughout my career, including
"Llegaste Tú" with Juan Luis Guerra, "Bésame" with Myke Towers, "La
Romana," which is featured on my album 'El Viaje,' and now "Me Despido,"
a song I'm very excited about," said Fonsi.
Following the overwhelming success of "Cambiaré," which reached No. 1 on
radio in multiple countries, "Me Despido" offers another glimpse into
Luis Fonsi's forthcoming album and once again highlights his ability to

The official music video for "Me Despido," available today, was directed
by renowned filmmaker Carlos Pérez, Creative Director of Elastic People.
