Luego de anunciar su nueva alianza con Platoon, la artista dominicana
Valentina continúa dando forma a su nueva etapa musical con MERENnaits
(elpre+game), su primer lanzamiento de dos canciones. El proyecto reúne
"¿QUE HACE ETA NOCHE?" y "1 BESO O QUE?", dos temas que abren la puerta
a un nuevo universo creativo donde la música, la nostalgia y la cultura
dominicana se encuentran.

MERENnaits (elpre+game) nace de una sensación muy específica, ese
momento en el que la noche todavía no comienza, pero ya se siente que
algo está por pasar. Es la energía de arreglarse, reunirse con amigos,
poner música y dejar que la noche tome su propio rumbo; una sensación
que Valentina conecta con la nostalgia de los años 2000, una época que
marcó profundamente a toda una generación.
Desde las novelas y los videos musicales hasta las cámaras digitales y
las fotografías espontáneas, el proyecto rescata esa estética y esa
forma más despreocupada de vivir y guardar cada momento. Valentina toma
esos recuerdos y los lleva a su propio universo, mezclando referencias
del pasado con una visión completamente actual para celebrar la
espontaneidad, la conexión y esos pequeños momentos que, sin planearlo,
terminan convirtiéndose en grandes recuerdos.
"¿QUE HACE ETA NOCHE?" abre el proyecto desde una perspectiva fresca y
juguetona, capturando la emoción de tener toda una noche por delante y
la libertad de no saber exactamente qué traerá. El tema introduce la
personalidad de Valentina dentro de este nuevo universo, combinando una
actitud despreocupada con una energía que invita a dejarse llevar y
disfrutar el momento.
"1 BESO O QUE?" continúa expandiendo el universo de MERENnaits
(elpre+game) desde una perspectiva más atrevida y espontánea. El título
y la esencia del tema reflejan ese lenguaje propio que la caracteriza y
a su manera de transformar momentos cotidianos en algo personal y
memorable. Junto a "¿QUE HACE ETA NOCHE?", la canción completa la
primera parte de una historia que apenas comienza a tomar forma.
"Ha pasado un tiempo desde mi último lanzamiento, y me emociona
muchísimo poder volver a lanzar música finalmente. Siempre he
representado y hablado de la República Dominicana a través de mi música,
y me he esforzado mucho para que la gente vea todo lo que tenemos para
ofrecer. Pero ahora es diferente. He estado trabajando más con nuestros
propios sonidos y nuestro propio género, al mismo tiempo que los mezclo
con otros sonidos. ¡Más merengue, más bachata, más de nuestra cultura!
Se siente tan yo, tan real. Estoy súper nerviosa, pero espero que a la
gente le guste tanto como a mí", expresó Valentina.
El proyecto está profundamente conectado con República Dominicana y la
manera en que se vive y se comparte una noche allí. La música funciona
como una extensión de esos momentos cotidianos que comienzan de manera
sencilla y terminan convirtiéndose en historias para recordar. Esto es
apenas el comienzo de una etapa que promete seguir explorando nuevos

Acerca de Valentina
Valentina es una cantante y compositora de Santo Domingo, República
Dominicana, y una de las voces emergentes más destacadas del pop urbano.
Desde su debut en 2019, ha desarrollado una propuesta musical que
fusiona el pop urbano con sonidos y elementos de la cultura dominicana,
construyendo una creciente audiencia internacional con proyectos como
SMTO, pa un cOrA RoTo, veranito sad y veranito no tan sad. Su
trayectoria incluye el reconocimiento de Spotify RADAR y la inclusión de
su música en playlists globales de H&M.
En 2024, Valentina firmó con Rimas Publishing, fortaleciendo su
trayectoria como compositora y artista. Su EP canciones tristes pa no

Following the announcement of her new partnership with Platoon,
Dominican artist Valentina continues to shape her new musical chapter
with MERENnaits (elpre+game), her first two-song release. The project
brings together "¿QUE HACE ETA NOCHE?" and "1 BESO O QUE?", two tracks
that open the door to a new creative universe where music, nostalgia,
and Dominican culture come together.
MERENnaits (elpre+game) was born from a very specific feeling, that
moment when the night has not started yet, but you can already sense
that something is about to happen. It is the energy of getting ready,
gathering with friends, playing music, and letting the night take its
own course, a feeling that Valentina connects to the nostalgia of the
2000s, a defining era for an entire generation.
From telenovelas and music videos to digital cameras and candid
photographs, the project captures the aesthetic and carefree spirit of a
time when people simply lived in the moment and documented it as it
happened. Valentina brings those memories into her own universe,
blending references from the past with a distinctly contemporary
perspective to celebrate spontaneity, connection, and those small
moments that, without planning, often become lasting memories.
"¿QUE HACE ETA NOCHE?" kicks off the project with a fresh and playful
energy, capturing the excitement of having a whole night ahead and the
freedom of not knowing exactly where it might lead. The track introduces
Valentina's personality within this new creative world, blending a
carefree attitude with an infectious energy that encourages listeners to
let go, go with the flow, and enjoy the moment.
"1 BESO O QUE?" takes MERENnaits (elpre+game) in a bolder, more
spontaneous direction. The title and spirit of the track capture
Valentina's distinctive voice and her ability to turn everyday moments
into something personal and unforgettable. Alongside "¿QUE HACE ETA
NOCHE?", the song completes the first chapter of a story that is only
beginning to unfold.
"It's been a while since my last release, and it's so exciting to
finally be able to release music again! I've always represented and
talked about the Dominican Republic in my music, and I've tried so hard
for people to see that we have so much to offer. But now, it's
different. I've been working more with our own sounds and our own genre,
while also mixing them with other sounds. More merengue, more bachata,
more of our culture! It feels so me, so real. I'm so nervous, but I hope
people love it as much as I do!" expressed Valentina.
The project is deeply connected to the Dominican Republic and to the way
a night out is experienced and shared there. The music becomes an
extension of those everyday moments that start simply and often turn
into stories worth remembering. This is just the beginning of a new
