    ÁLVARO DÍAZ prepara un ‘OMAKASE’ PARA SU NUEVO ÁLBUM DE ESTUDIO

Álvaro Díaz, el aclamado artista puertorriqueño 3 veces nominado al Latin GRAMMY, presenta su nuevo álbum de estudio, 'OMAKASE', disponible ya a través de Universal Music Latino. En esta nueva obra de arte, se nota la evolución de Álvaro como artista, liricista y creativo. A lo largo del disco escuchamos cómo le agrega la sazón, los diferentes sabores, mezcla las salsas y le pone los condimentos a cada canción hasta llegar a la "LAULTIMACENA."

"'Omakase', por definición, es: 'Yo soy el chef y el curador de esto... Te voy a dar una experiencia, pero tienes que confiar en mí. Hoy no vas a tener que decidir qué escuchar; yo soy el que te voy a presentar todos estos platos y los voy a mezclar como yo sienta. Y eso es lo que quise hacer con este proyecto,'" explica Álvaro sobre el concepto detrás del álbum.




OMAKASE se divide en 4 partes: la parte 1 es lo crudo. El disco es el proceso de la cocina, de preparar los platos.

PARTE 1: CRUDO

El disco abre con "SICHEF.", un tema medio ignorante. Los cuchillos hacen la canción y la gente de la cocina son chefs gritando "¡Sí, chef!". Su manera de rapear en este tema es bastante cruda pero a lo largo del disco escuchamos cómo va evolucionando y se va yendo un poco más directo al corazón.



"MDF." significa Mi Droga Favorita y trae una vibra cruda, pero a la vez sexy y oscura. Es una canción que marcó el sonido del disco y fue producida por NSQK, Taiko y Ávila.



"SELEDA." es una canción alternativa que combina el merengue con música electrónica, llena de jerga y producida por El Guincho.



"BIMEL." empieza con un beatbox de unas nenas y tiene voces de Rauw Alejandro, Papi Sousa, Jesse Báez y FEID. "Siempre me gustó ese trippeo de que las personas salgan en las canciones en modo misterioso; termina siendo como un 'Easter egg' dentro de la canción," dice Álvaro.

La segunda parte es la salsa, la sazón. Ya lo crudo, la materia prima, está listo y lo que sigue es ponerle la salsa por encima.

El focus track del álbum es "⁠PIENSO EN TI.", un tema más tropical con elementos de cumbia, fue la última canción que hizo con Milkman, el célebre productor y director creativo, quien fue un gran colaborador de Álvaro por muchos años.



"PERDISTE EL EMMY." es el primer reggaetón de este disco, es clásico Alvarito y Tainy. "Tenemos muchas colaboraciones como 'PARANORMAL', 'Llori Pari' y 'QUIEN TE QUIERE COMO EL NENE', teníamos que juntarnos para hacer otro palo para este disco," explica Álvaro.



"TREINEL." Feat. RUBI es un amapiano y una canción para las nenas lindas que no salen del gym. "RUBI es una de mis artistas emergentes favoritas de Puerto Rico. Me encanta su proyecto y estoy emocionado que fue parte de mi disco. Ojalá que mucha gente la conozca," afirma Álvaro.



"EN LA MISMA CIUDAD." junto a Jesse Báez, tiene todo tipo de elementos... es una plena triste y fue producida por El Guicho y Manuel Lara. "Es de mis favoritas," revela Álvaro.

La parte 3 es el fuego. Lo crudo que pasa a ser sazonado y que luego llega al fuego.

"KILO." viene de kilómetro y habla de esa relación a larga distancia, ese miedo de perder a alguien porque está lejos. Es una comparación con un trabajo de droga. La canción tiene un cambio de ritmo: la primera parte la hizo Tainy y Otro Nivel y la otra la hizo Ávila y El Guincho.



"BABYRECORDS." juega con el nombre de la disquera de Zion, Baby Records, y es la primera canción que hace con Sky Rompiendo como productor.



"SPACEXXX." es un desahogo sexual, una fantasía que transporta al oyente al espacio.



La tercera parte termina con "MALASNOTICIAS." junto a Latin Mafia. "Para mí, esto es como una película de los Safdie Brothers: un heartbreak mío dirigido por ellos. Puro caos, pura persecución, puro sentimiento. Eso que sientes cuando estás a punto de perder a alguien, no quieres perderla, y te estás enterando de que quizás ella ya pasó la página," dice Álvaro.


La cuarta parte es el plateo, el resultado de todo.



PARTE 4: SENTIMIENTO / CORAZÓN

Comienza con "INAROW62.", la cual Álvaro considera una de las canciones más lindas que ha hecho. Es la canción más romántica del disco y está dedicada a las personas que se quedan a tu lado en los momentos difíciles.



"NO PODEMOS SER AMIGOS." es la canción más triste del disco y trata de cuando el corazón tiene un vínculo con una persona, pero estás en ese punto de decir: "no puedo ser tu amigo porque siento demasiado."



"OVELNAIT." producida por Ávila y Albert Hype, tiene esa energía fuck you, tiene esa energía de su álbum 'Hato Rey' con un giro nuevo.



La última canción, "LAULTIMACENA." es un desahogo y una oración de gracias antes de comer lo que acabas de cocinar. Empieza con un audio de sus abuelos y es el último audio que tiene de ellos dos hablando antes de comer en la mesa de su abuela, quien ya falleció. Todo se grabó en ese mismo restaurante, en la mesa de su abuela. "Al final termina con una oración, porque mi mamá ya es parte de todos los discos," cuenta Álvaro.



Al final se siente más el corazón...la canción más linda, la canción más triste, la canción más "fuck you" y la canción más agradecida. 'OMAKASE' es el resultado de todo esto.

ÁLVARO DÍAZ PREPARES AN 'OMAKASE' FOR HIS NEW STUDIO ALBUM WITH FOCUS TRACK "PIENSO EN TI"


Critically acclaimed Puerto Rican artist and 3X Latin GRAMMY nominee, Álvaro Díaz, presents his new studio album 'OMAKASE', out now via Universal Music Latino. His new masterpiece showcases his evolution as an artist, as a lyricist and as a creative. Throughout the album we hear how he adds the seasoning, the different flavors, how he mixes the sauces and adds the condiments to every song culminating with "LAULTIMACENA." [The Last Meal].



'Omakase,' by definition, is "I'm the chef and curator here...I'm going to give you an experience, but you must trust me. Today you won't have to decide what to listen to; I'm the one who's going to present you with all these dishes and I'm going to mix them how I see fit. And that's what I wanted to do with this project," explains Álvaro about the album's concept.
'OMAKASE' is divided into 4 parts: Part 1 is raw. The album here is in the preparation stage and in the cooking process.

PART 1: RAW

1) "SICHEF."

2) "MDF."

3) "SELEDA."

4) "BIMEL."



The album opens with "SICHEF.", a sort of ignorant track. The knives make the song and the chefs in the kitchen are shouting "Yes, chef!" His rapping style in this part is raw but as the album progresses, it evolves and becomes more heartfelt.



"MDF." means Mi Droga Favorita (my favorite drug) and has a raw vibe to it but at the same time it's sexy and dark. It was produced by NSQK, Taiko, and Ávila.



"SELEDA" is an alternative track that combines merengue with electronic music, heavy on slang and produced by El Guincho.



"BIMEL." starts with some females beatboxing and features vocals from Rauw Alejandro, Papi Sousa, Jesse Báez, and FEID. "I've always tripped out about artists popping up in my songs in mysterious ways, it ends up being like an Easter egg within the song," explains Álvaro.





The second part is the sauce, the seasoning. The raw ingredients are ready to go and now it's time to pour the sauce over them.

The album's focus track, "⁠PIENSO EN TI." is a more tropical track with elements of cumbia, and it's the last song he made with Milkman, the famed producer and creative director who was Álvaro's long-time collaborator.



"PERDISTE EL EMMY." is the first reggaeton track on this album, it's classic Alvarito and Tainy. "We have tracks like 'PARANORMAL', 'Llori Pari' and 'QUIEN TE QUIERE COMO EL NENE', so it was a no brainer that we needed to collab to make another hit for this album, affirms Álvaro.



"TREINEL." Feat. RUBI is an amapiano and a song dedicated to all the pretty girls who stay in the gym. "RUBI is one of my favorite emerging artists from Puerto Rico. I love her project and I'm happy she's part of the album. I hope a lot of people get to know her music," expresses Álvaro.



"EN LA MISMA CIUDAD." featuring Jesse Baez has all types of elements...it's a sad song produced by El Guicho and Mauel Lara. "It's one of my favorites," reveals Álvaro.





Part 3 is the transformation by fire. The raw gets seasoned and later gets to the fire.

"KILO." comes from kilometer and talks about a long-distance relationship and that fear to lose someone because they are far away. It's a comparison to a drug gig. The song has a change up in the beat, the first part was produced by Tainy and Otro Nivel and the second part by Ávila and El Guincho.



"BABYRECORDS.," plays with the name of reggaeton icon, Zion's record label, Baby Records, and it's his first collaboration with Sky Rompiendo as a producer.



"SPACEXXX.," a sexual release, a fantasy that transports the listener to space.



Part 3 ends with "MALASNOTICIAS." featuring Latin Mafia. "For me, this is like a The Safdie Brothers movie, my own heartbreak directed by them. It's pure chaos, heartbreak, and emotion. That feeling you get when you're about to lose someone and you're realizing that maybe she's already turned the page," declares Álvaro.





Part 4 is the result of everything, serving it up.



PART 4: EMOTION / HEART

It starts with "INAROW62.," which Álvaro considers to be one of the most beautiful songs he's written. It's the most romantic song on the album and it's dedicated to the people who stay by your side during tough times.



"NO PODEMOS SER AMIGOS.," is the saddest song on the album...when your heart is connected to a person, but you're at the point of saying, "I can't be your friend because I feel too much."



"OVELNAIT." produced by Ávila and Albert Hype, has that fuck you energy and has that vibe from his album Hato Rey but with a fresh twist.



The last song, "LAULTIMACENA," is a release and a prayer of thanks before eating what you just cooked. It starts with a recording of his grandparents, the last recording he has of them talking at his grandma's table, who passed away. It was all recorded in that very same restaurant at what used to be his grandma's table. "I end it with a prayer by my mom...she's been a part of all my albums," says Álvaro.



In the end, the album feels more heartfelt: the sweetest song, the saddest song, the most fuck you song, and the most grateful song. And 'OMAKASE' is the result of all this.
