TEO arma el juego con
rompecabezas , su primer EP
El cantautor colombiano TEO lanza hoy su primer EP titulado
Rompecabezas, un proyecto conceptual y profundamente emocional que marca
un nuevo capítulo en su carrera. Compuesto por siete canciones, este
trabajo va más allá de lo musical, es una representación honesta del
proceso de reconstruirse tras momentos de confusión, pérdida y evolución

Lejos de ser solo una colección de temas, Rompecabezas se presenta como
una obra conceptual donde cada sencillo es una pieza que encaja, o no,
dentro de una experiencia personal más grande. A través de sonidos
envolventes y letras profundamente introspectivas, TEO invita al oyente
a explorar las emociones humanas en su estado más crudo: desde la duda y
la melancolía, hasta la resiliencia y la aceptación.
"Rompecabezas es más que un EP, es un reflejo de la vida misma: un
conjunto de piezas que a veces parecen encajar y otras no. Cada canción
es un fragmento de esa búsqueda interna, un viaje a través de emociones
crudas, dudas, certezas y revelaciones", explica el artista.
Aunque ya había mostrado parte de su universo emocional con los
sencillos "Qué Te Faltó", "Ya Me Acostumbré" y "Quiero Más", ahora TEO
estrena el focus track del EP, "Qué Pena", una canción con base
envolvente y una mezcla entre melancolía y firmeza. Aunque a simple oído
puede parecer una historia de desamor, es, en realidad, una despedida
interna. Es el cierre de un ciclo personal, el adiós a una versión de
uno mismo que ya no encaja en la vida actual.
"'Qué Pena' no habla de perder a otra persona, sino de soltar a tu
propio yo del pasado. A veces, despedirse de quien fuiste duele más que
dejar ir a alguien" explica TEO.
La portada de Rompecabezas, creada por el artista Mauricio De Rogatis,
combina tonos cálidos ocres, naranjas y rojos, para evocar una atmósfera
acogedora y nostálgica. Inspirada en una Nueva York fragmentada, la obra
mezcla pintura en spray y collage físico para retratar una ciudad
desordenada y sobrepuesta, símbolo de la reconstrucción personal que
atraviesa el EP. Cada recorte y superposición refleja piezas de
identidad, memoria y emociones que, aunque no encajan perfectamente,
forman una imagen coherente. El resultado es un lenguaje visual que
dialoga de forma orgánica con las canciones: historias que, como un
rompecabezas, encuentran belleza en su imperfección.
"Cuando escuché el EP por primera vez, sentí que cada canción era como
una pieza suelta de una historia más grande. Quise retratar esa
sensación en una ciudad fragmentada, donde los recuerdos, las emociones
y las experiencias se mezclan sin un orden perfecto, pero encontrando su
lugar. Para mí, 'Rompecabezas' es eso: la belleza de reconstruirse con
lo que tenemos, incluso con lo que duele", menciona Mauricio De Rogatis.
Además del focus track, el EP incluye otros tres temas inéditos que
completan la narrativa emocional de este viaje: "Faltan Partes", "Tu
Recuerdo", y "Señales".
Desde su irrupción en la escena musical en 2021 con "Chocolatico", TEO
ha demostrado ser una de las voces más sensibles y auténticas del nuevo
pop alternativo latino. Su capacidad para conectar con las emociones
humanas desde la honestidad y lo cotidiano lo han llevado a destacarse
en la industria. Ha representado a Colombia en el Festival de Viña del
Mar, ha sido nominado a los Heat Latin Music Awards, y ha acumulado
miles de oyentes con temas que combinan pop, sonidos urbanos y una
lírica emocional que no busca complacer, sino contar lo que pasa cuando
se apagan las luces.
Con Rompecabezas, TEO no solo lanza su primer EP si no que le presenta

The Colombian singer-songwriter TEO releases today his debut EP titled
Rompecabezas, a conceptual and deeply emotional project that marks a new
chapter in his career. Comprising seven songs, this work goes beyond
music, serving as an honest representation of the process of rebuilding
oneself after moments of confusion, loss, and personal growth.
Rompecabezas is now available on all digital platforms.
Far from being a collection of songs, Rompecabezas is designed as a
conceptual work where each single is a piece that may or may not match
within a larger personal experience. Through immersive sounds and deeply
introspective lyrics, TEO invites the listener to explore raw human
emotions: from doubt and melancholy to resilience and acceptance.
"Rompecabezas is more than an EP, it is a reflection of life itself: a
set of pieces that sometimes seem to fit together and sometimes don't.
Each song is a fragment of that inner search, a journey through raw
emotions, doubts, certainties, and revelations," explains the artist.
Although he had already revealed part of his emotional universe with the
singles "Qué Te Faltó," "Ya Me Acostumbré," and "Quiero Más," TEO now
releases the focus track of the EP, "Qué Pena," a song built on an
immersive foundation that blends melancholy with strength. While at
first listen it may seem like a heartbreak story, it is, in reality, an
inner farewell. It marks the closing of a personal cycle, the goodbye to
a version of oneself that no longer fits in the present life.
"'Qué Pena' isn't about losing someone else, but about letting go of
your past self. Sometimes saying goodbye to who you once were hurts more
than letting someone go," explains TEO.
The cover of Rompecabezas, created by artist Mauricio De Rogatis,
combines warm ocher, orange, and red tones to evoke a cozy and nostalgic
atmosphere. Inspired by a fragmented New York, the piece blends spray
paint and physical collage to portray a chaotic, overlapping city, a
symbol of the personal reconstruction the EP embodies. Each cutout and
layer reflects pieces of identity, memory, and emotion that, although
they don't fit together perfectly, form a coherent image. The result is
a visual language that organically dialogues with the songs: stories
that, like a puzzle, find beauty in their imperfection.
"When I first listened to the EP, I felt that each song was like a loose
piece of a bigger story. I wanted to capture that feeling in a
fragmented city, where memories, emotions, and experiences intertwine
without perfect order, yet still find their place. To me, 'Rompecabezas'
is exactly that: the beauty of rebuilding oneself with what we have,
even with what hurts," says Mauricio De Rogatis.
In addition to the focus track, the EP includes three other unreleased
songs that complete the emotional narrative of this journey: "Faltan
Partes," "Tu Recuerdo," and "Señales."
Since his breakthrough on the music scene in 2021 with "Chocolatico,"
TEO has proven to be one of the most sensitive and authentic voices in
the new Latin alternative pop movement. His ability to connect with
human emotions through honesty and everyday life has set him apart in
the industry. He has represented Colombia at the Viña del Mar Festival,
been nominated for the Heat Latin Music Awards, and gathered thousands
of listeners with songs that blend pop, urban sounds, and emotional
